#ruffaroundtheedges – part 37 – Language

#ruffaroundtheedges –

I wanted to talk about, assumptions and, it’s fascinating because, when I first moved to the USA, everyone assumed that I knew, everything I needed to know about the American way of life because I talked English.

Well, English, English is very different from American English.

There were some huge assumptions made about what I should know, didn’t know, or didn’t know.

What I found is, in the first, four to six months of being here, my, lesson learned.

Caution – don’t make assumptions just because we speak the same language. We may not talk the same message.

So great lesson learned, from my 1994 physical transition to Saint Louis, Missouri.
