Ruffaroundtheedges and I often get asked this question:
What do you miss most Bruce about, your life in the UK? This is where I was born, and itโs a simple answer. Itโs Fish and Chips.
Fish and chips are a staple, menu item in the UK and it’s often sold
at what they call chippers or fish and chip shops. They used to serve fish and chips in the newspaper back in the days when I was growing up.
Now it is served in a kind of greaseproof paper, but you can still go to what they call a chippy or a chipper and get your fish and chips to take out.
Take them away and walk and eat them or sit on a park bench and eat them, – my favorite place is to eat them at the ocean or by the seaside as it is called there.
So, yeah, I miss fish n chips out of the newspaper at the seaside.
