I was sixteen years old. I had driven away from the project on my motorcycle, which I featured in a different part on my blog.

I was able to rent a room with an older couple. I used to work with the guy Ken, at the place where I did my apprenticeship.

I used to have these 10 feet by 12-foot rooms. Use of a bathroom and pretty much that was it. So, my first independent living started around the age of sixteen, but I had my motorcycle, and I could safely walk to work. Ken and Emmy looked after me as if I was their own grandson so forever grateful for that.
